This Saturday a very strong earthquake struck Nepal. The earthquake also triggered a number of avalanches in Himalaya. One very big one hit the Everest Base Camp where the mid spring season meant that base camp was crowded. To get a little understanding of the enormous forces i play, this horrendous video gives a hint. The video is shot by the German climber, Jost Kobusch.
Up till now 17 climbers are reported dead. Approximately 1 000 people were on the mountain when the avalanche struck.
